What is SEO?

SEO, also known as Search engine optimization is the process of improving website quality to rank on google. 

People get two types of traffic-
1. Paid traffic
2. Unpaid traffic, also known as organic traffic
 
There are other types of traffic too like direct and referral traffic.
 
Most of your traffic will be organic traffic. It is simply not worth it to put on Ads. 
Another reason is that ads are expensive. 

So how do we get organic traffic?

Some methods to increase SEO-

1. Focusing on keywords

Keywords are the words that describe the article. For example, the main keyword of the article that you are reading is SEO. However, it is difficult to rank on such keywords. So I use long-tail keywords like "Yoast SEO". It is much easier to rank on long-tail keywords.

2. Content

You may have heard the phrase- Content is King.
 But why is that so?
Google gives priority to longer content.
Suppose you are google. 
Two articles are using the same keyword equal times. Article one consists of 200 words while article 2 consists of 300 words. Which article will you choose?
The answer is obvious, article 2. 
But why?
Google gives priority to content as it wants to answer as many questions as possible and longer content is more likely to answer more questions.

3. Writing Personalized content

People like personalized content. There's no question to that but The big question is how to write personalized content? 

After writing your post, imagine that you are a visitor and you are reading your post. If you feel like it was made just for you, then congratulations, your content is personalized.

Yoast SEO Plugin is a plugin that is developed by Yoast. It is a simple, but popular plugin that helps you in focusing your keywords and readability. So basically, you don't have to keep track of the keywords or grammar, Yoast will do it for you and will also give you suggestions for improving SEO.

One thing you must know, IT IS AVAILABLE ONLY ON WORDPRESS AND CANNOT BE INSTALLED ON BLOGGER. But there is a method.

Steps

Simple summary- We will create a free website and install WordPress. Then we shall install the Yoast SEO Plugin. We shall do all the SEO, copy the post and paste it on Blogger.

Step 1- (If you already have a WordPress Site, Skip this step)

 Get free hosting. I used Ultimate Free Host. Go to hosting on top, select the free host Pack.  Click on Sign Up Now. Fill in the spaces and select your domain. Complete the rest of the steps. Then it will create your website.

Login to CPanel. Scroll down and click on Softaculous Apps Installer. There you can install WordPress. Create your admin account.
 
Step 2- Go to WordPress. In plugins, search for Yoast SEO. Install and activate it.
 
Step 3- Go to the HTML view of your post and copy and paste it on a WordPress Post code editor.
 
Step 4- Do all the SEO with it.
 
Step 5- Go to the code editor and copy and paste its HTML in the Blogger post HTML view.
Done
With this, you can use Yoast SEO in Blogger.
