What effects do atoms have on any substance?

Different atoms have different effects on any substance. Some atoms can make a substance hard while others can make it soft. Some can make a substance strong, while others make it brittle. So the atoms give each substance its properties. 

So can rearranging atoms make certain substances better?
Of course. However, atoms are so small, it is impossible to rearrange them by hand. But thanks to today's technology, we are able to rearrange them to a certain limit.
 

So what Nanotechnology is exactly?

Nanotechnology, also known as Nanotech, is the ability to rearrange atoms to add desirable properties to certain substances.

What are its advantages?

Let's go back to ceramic. It is heat resistant and hard. But it is brittle. So we can replace some of the atoms with a strong atom carefully. This will make it strong.
Thus, it will retain its heat resistant property and will not easily break.

Where is it being used?

Nanotechnology is being used in many places. For instance, Modern bicycles are constructed with nanotechnology and are better and safer than ordinary ones. You can know more about it in the end where I have placed a link.

NanoTechnology is being used in Mayonaise! There are fat bubbles inside it. Engineers fill it with water instead of fat. This will make it approximately 40% lighter.
